Smith, Green rescue Australia, challenge Windies: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Grenada)

Fifties from Cameron Green and Steve Smith helped Australia recover from 12-2 to post a challenging target for the West Indies on Day 3 in Grenada.

Green’s half-century (52) along with 71 from Steve Smith, helped the Aussies to 221-7 on a rain hit day at the National Cricket Stadium. Their 93 run stand helped build a lead of 254 on a wicket whose variable bounce had made batting tough.

Australia 286 and 221 for 7 (Smith 71, Green 52, Greaves 2-22) lead West Indies 253 (King 75, Campbell 40, Lyon 3-75, Hazlewood 2-43, Cummins 2-46) by 254 runs.
