Hermann, Brevis run down Zimbabwe: 1st Tri T20 (Harare)

Sikandar Rama’s fifty was in vain as South Africa pipped Zimbabwe to start off with a win in the opening match of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series in Harare.

Skipper Raza led his team from the front with an explosive 54* from just 38 balls. Ryan Burl smashed a quick 29 off 20 balls as Zimbabwe posted 141-6.

Rubin Hermann struck 45 on debut and Dewald Brevis hit 41 to propel South Africa to 142-5 as the visitors secured a 5 wicket win.

South Africa 142 for 5 (Hermann 45, Brevis 41, Ngarava 3-35) beat Zimbabwe 141 for 6 (Raza 54*, Bennett 30, Linde 3-10) by five wickets.
