5th Test: Stokes, Archer miss decider as England make 4 changes (Oval)

Skipper Ben Stokes says "the risk is too high" with his latest shoulder injury. The injury will not impact his participation in this winter's Ashes after he was ruled out of the deciding fifth and final Test against India.

Stokes says that his shoulder tear likely to need seven weeks of rehabilitation to recover.

Ollie Pope will lead England while Jofra Archer is rested.

The Surrey duo Gus Atkinson and Jamie Overton come into the side alongside Worcestershire’s Josh Tongue, as does Jacob Bethell, who will bat at No 6.

England lead the Five Test series 2-1.
