Kishan blast anchors Indian win over Pakistan: T20 World Cup No 27 (RPS)

India produced a dominant display to defeat Pakistan by 61 runs in their marquee Group A clash at the 2026 T20 World Cup in Colombo.

India posted 175/7 in 20 overs, built around a superb 77 from Ishan Kishan, while useful late contributions pushed the total beyond Pakistan’s reach on a slightly two-paced surface.

In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 114 in 18 overs, despite Usman Khan’s fighting 44 at the top. India’s bowlers kept up relentless pressure, striking regularly to prevent any partnerships from developing.

The comprehensive win strengthens India’s position in the group and continues their strong record against Pakistan in T20 World Cup contests.

India 175 for 7 (Kishan 77, Suryakumar 32, Ayub 3-25) beat Pakistan 114 (Usman 44, Hardik 2-16, Bumrah 2-17, Varun 2-17, Axar 2-29) by 61 runs.
