Marvan and Murali deliver upset in finals (1998)

Sri Lanka pulled off a stunning upset with a 5 wicket win over England in the first ever trinations ODI tournament held in England.

Murali took 5-34 as he pulled back England to 256-8 after a breezy opening stand between Atherton and Knght which took them to 132.

After the shock loss of Jayasuriya for a duck Atapattu 132 not out and Kaluwitharna 68 repaired the damage and took Sri Lanka to victory with almost 3 overs remaining.
