Mahela|Thilan stand breaks 52-year record: 1st Test, Day 2 (Karachi) - Part 1 of 2

Mahela Jayawardene 240 and Thilan Samaraweera 231 broke a 52yearold record as they set a new mark for the highest fourthwicket stand in Test cricket by putting on 437.

They overhauled the record of English pair Peter May and Colin Cowdrey who put on 411 in 1957. Sri Lanka declared on 644-7 with Pakistan on 44-1 at the close.
