Lankans scrap for draw as Younis falls short: 1st Test, Day 5 (Karachi) - Part 2 of 2

Pakistan captain Younis Khan added just 7 runs on Day 5 to finish on 313 as he failed in his quest to beat Brian Lara's world record Test score of 400. Kamran Akmal hit a careerbest 158 not out before the hosts declared on 7656 their highest Test score. Sri Lanka stumbled to 453 but Kumar Sangakkara's 65 steadied the innings to finish at 1245.
