Injured Ryder inspires win over Sri Lanka: ICC Champions Trophy (Jborg)

Jesse Ryder smashed the quickest fifty of the tournament (74) with the aid of a runner to help New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 38 runs and boost their semifinal hopes which they can seal with a win over England.

Ryder put on 125 with Brendon McCullum 46 to take the Kiwi's to an imposing 315-7 their highest ever score against Sri Lanka. Mahela Jayawardene hit 77 and Nuwan Kulasekara an unbeaten 57 but Sri Lanka were all out for 277. ICC Champions Trophy
