Shock as Morgan sees England home by 1 run: 1st T20 (Jborg)

Left hander Eoin Morgan hit an explosive unbeaten 85 of just 44 balls as England won the opening Twenty20 by one run under the DuckworthLewis method.

Morgan's knock was the highest individual score by an England player in Twenty20 games and 2026 was their highest T20 total.

In reply Graeme Smith 41 and Loots Bosman 58 hit four sixes each as South Africa raced to 97 inside nine overs but rain stopped play at 127-3 with the Proteas behind.
