Smith reprieve: Angry England complain umpire on mute (Jborg)

An angry England team made an official complaint over a controversial umpiring decision after Australia third umpire Daryl Harper failed to turn up the speaker volume when England referred a clear cut caught behind appeal against Graeme Smith.

"It was a crucial time Graeme was only on 15 they had 36 on the board" said England coach Andy Flower. Smith went on to make 105 in the crucial must win test as Englan lead the series 1-0.
