England seal Ashes series win 3-1: 5th Test, D5 (SCG)

Dominant England claimed their first Ashes series in Australia for 24 years with an innings and 83-run victory. It was England's first series victory Down Under since Mike Gatting's team beat Australia 2-1 in 1986-87.

Australia were bowled out for 281 with Smith unbeaten on 54 having added 86 with Siddle, while a 40-minute rain delay also frustrated England and their supporters.
