Shane Bond: Just wanted to bowl fast

Shane Bond says that he never wanted to cut down his pace to prolong his career as he "just wanted to bowl fast". He played only 18 Tests taking 87 wickets at 22.09 with a superb strike rate of 38.76. He took 5-107 in his last test - the 1st Test against Pakistan at Dunedin in 2009. He also played 81 ODI's taking 147 wickets at 4.29 runs per over. He discussed his career, and emerging Kiwi paceman Adam Milne is this interview. Jan 2011.
