New Zealand restored some pride with a consolation win. They scored a mammoth 311-7 thanks to two 100-plus partnerships led initially by Jesse Ryder's blistering 107 off 93 balls and later by half centuries from Scott Styris (58 not out) and Nathan McCullum (65).Wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal's 89 off 84 balls and Afridi's late cameo (44 off 35 balls) was in vain as New Zealand secured an emphatic 57-run win. 6th ODI (Auckland).
