Pakistan end 12 year Australian streak: 2011 World Cup #40 (RPS)

Australia's streak of 34 Cricket World Cup matches unbeaten run stretching back to 1999 is over after a batting collapse led to a four-wicket loss to Pakistan.

Australia was bowled out for just 176 in its Group A match against Pakistan. Brad Haddin (42), Michael Clarke (34) and youngster Steve Smith (25) were the only batsmen to pass 20 as Australia saved its worst batting performance of the tournament.

Paceman Umar Gul (3-30) bowled superbly with both the new and the old ball, who were the last team to defeat Australia in a World Cup match in 1999. Umar Akmal (44 not out) and Asad Shafiq (46) helped steer Pakistan to victory in 41 overs.
