Strauss: Shocked by unlikely win (Cardiff)

Andrew Strauss said England's stunning win over Sri Lanka "beggared belief" after a sensational final-session collapse.

Sri Lanka were knocked over for 82 in a rain-affected final day. "We were not expecting this at the start of the day, it beggars belief to a certain extent," said Strauss. Losing skipper Dilshan promised to do better in the next test by saying "It is very difficult to explain. I can't believe it. We batted really badly. We have to forget about it as soon as possible.".
