News: Sachin gets top gong, Afridi suspended, Gayle ignored

Sachin Tendulkar picked up the Polly Umrigar award (outstanding Indian cricketer) for the second time and thanked his teammates for making it possible in BCCI's Cricketer of the Year awards 2011 in Mumbai. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board has directed Shahid Afridi to appear before a three-member disciplinary committee on June 8, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

While announcing his ‘conditional’ retirement, Afridi lashed out at the current board, and said he was willing to reverse his decision if there was a change at the top.
