Morgan, Mendis & England top first ever ICC T20 Rankings

England, the reigning World Twenty20 champions, have topped the ICCs inaugural rankings. The ICC unveiled the new rankings system with England’s Eoin Morgan ranked as the best batsman, while Ajantha Mendis of Sri Lanka is currently the best bowler.Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene welcomed this latest development commenting “I’m looking forward to that opportunity and, if we are the number one team going towards that World Cup, it will give us great impetus and the fans something to look forward to as well,” , Oct 2011
