Boucher forced to quit cricket after severe eye injury

Veteran wicketkeeper Mark Boucher was forced into retirement from international cricket after undergoing eye surgery following a severe injury after being struck by a bail on day one of the Proteas' tour match.

A ball from spinner Imran Tahir clean bowled Gemaal Hussain and then struck Boucher who stood up to the stumps. He was wearing a cap instead of a helmet.
