Alviro century keeps England at bay: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Leeds)

Alviro Petersen hit his fourth Test century (124 not out in 266 balls) to steer South Africa to 5-262 at stumps.England dropped Petersen on 29 and had Graeme Smith caught (52) off what was deemed a dead ball as the openers raced to a century stand after lunch.

Stuart Broad (1-55) bowled AB de Villiers and Steven Finn (1-78) bowled Dale Steyn shortly before stumps to keep England in contention.
