Ponting quits, Siddle and Hilfy dropped for Perth

Ricky Ponting (37) will retire as the second highest run-scorer in Test history and the most successful captain of all time with 48 Test wins as he calls it quits at the end of the 3rd Test in Perth. Ponting's long-serving vice captain Adam Gilchrist reflects on the achievements and legacy of his former captain. Australia's bowling rotation policy has claimed Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus as they were dropped for the deciding Test against South Africa despite the world No.1 ranking being up for grabs with the series tied 0-0.
