Amla and De Villiers hammer Aussies, set record 632 target: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Perth)

Centuries from Hashim Amla (196) and AB de Villiers (169) took South Africa to a mammoth 569 all out, leaving the Aussies chasing a record 632 for an unlikely victory.

South Africans lost their last five wickets for 31 runs with Starc (6-154) and Johnson (4-110) striking.

David Warner (29 not out) and Ed Cowan (9 not out) survived to steer the Australians to 40 without loss with two full days remaining in a Test that will decide the No. 1 ranking for 2012.
