All-round Philander stars as India hit back: 1st Test, Day 2 (J'burg)

Vernon Philander's 6-4-6-3 spell saw him run through the Indian batting line-up and then the batsmen did enough to ensure that the home side maintained it's advantage until the Indian seamers decimated their top order after tea.

Smith scored 68 and Philander made 48 not out.
