Analysis: Harris stands up, Clarke says sorry, Smith retires (Newlands)

Australia finally broke South Africa's resistance to win the series and send Graeme Smith into retirement with defeat amidst controversy and ugly scenes.

The Aussies needed six wickets and it looked like the Proteas would pull off a miracle for their retiring skipper Graeme Smith. But Ryan Harris took two wickets in an over to end the game with 10 minutes remaining.
