SL dig in after Younis 177: 1st Test, Day 2 (Galle)

Sri Lanka recovered from losing opener Upul Tharanga to reach 99 for one in reply to Pakistan’s 451 at the close.

Earlier, off-spinner Dilruwan Perera took the last five Pakistan wickets as the tourists were finally dismissed for 451 in their first innings, anchored by a magnificent 177 from Younus Khan.

Sri Lanka 99 for 1 (Silva 38*, Sangakkara 36*) trail Pakistan 451 (Younis 177, Shafiq 75, Perera 5-137) by 352 runs.
