Root century powers England win: 5th ODI (Pallekele)
Joe Root made an unbeaten 104 as England beat Sri Lanka by five wickets to trail 3-2 in the series.
Earlier on the prior day, Chris Woakes restricted Sri Lanka with 6-47 before rain intervened as the home side limped to 239 all out.
England 240 for 5 (Root 104*, Taylor 68) beat Sri Lanka 239 (Sangakkara 91, Woakes 6-47) by five wickets.
