AB and Tahir sweep South Africa to win: 1st ODI (Durban)

Skipper AB de Villiers top-scored with 81 and made five dismissals behind the wicket as South Africa beat the West Indies by 61 runs.

In reply, the Windies were bundled out for 164 as legspinner Imran Tahir (3-30) and seamer Vernon Philander (3-44) swept through their middle order.

South Africa 279 for 8 (de Villiers 81, Taylor, 2-50) beat West Indies 164 (Gayle 41, Tahir 3-30) by 61 runs D/L method.
