Finn sinks Aussies as England dominate: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Edgbaston)

Paceman Steve Finn took 5-45 leaving Australian tottering at 168-7 and England poised to take 2-1 lead in Ashes series.

Earlier, England had established an important lead of 145, thanks largely to Joe Root’s 63, and an eighth-wicket stand of 87 between Moeen Ali (59) and Stuart Broad.

Australia 136 and 168 for 7 (Warner 77, Nevill 36*, Finn 5-45) lead England 281 (Root 63, Moeen 59, Bell 53, Lyon 3-36) by 23 runs.
