Smith powers Aussies as Clarke fails again: 5th Test, Day 1 (Oval)

Steve Smith was 78 not out as Australia posted 287-3 on day one of the final Ashes Test.

Retiring skipper Michael Clarke (15) failed in his final Test after a bright start as David Warner scored 85 and Chris Rogers 43 put on 110 for the first wicket.

Australia 287 for 3 (Smith 78*, Voges 47*) v England.
