Bavuma maiden ton, Amla double defy England: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Cape Town)

A double hundred from Hashim Amla (201) and Temba Bavuma's maiden Test century (102 not out) saw South Africa defy England to declare on 627-7, two short of England's first-innings total.

Bavuma and Chris Morris (69) put on a rear-guard 177 runs for the 7th wicket after the hosts lost three wickets for 10 runs.

England survived 6 overs to reach 16-0 at the close.

England 629 for 6 dec and 16 for 0 (Cook 8*, Hales 5) lead South Africa 627 for 7 dec (Amla 201, Bavuma 102*, de Villiers 88, du Plessis 86, Morris 69) by 18 runs.
