Pak eliminated by Faulkner five: 2016 WT20 No 26 AUS v PAK (Mohali)

Pakistan were knocked out of the World Twenty20 by Australia as James Faulkner took 5-27.

Earlier, Steve Smith (61 not out), with cameos from Watson (44) and Maxwell (30), took Australia to 193-4. In reply, Khalid Latif led the charge with 46 but Pakistan finished short on 172-8.

The next India-Australia match becomes a straight knockout to decide who will make the semi finals. Australia 193 for 4 (Smith 61*, Watson 44*, Wasim 2-31) beat Pakistan 172 for 8 (Latif 46, Malik 40, Faulkner 5-27) by 21 runs.
