Nawaz blasts Kiwis for fastest Pak T20 hundred: 3rd T20 (Auckland)

Rookie opener Hasan Nawaz smashed a century in just 44 balls for Pakistan as they crushed NZ in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match series played at Eden Park.

22 year old Nawaz (105 not outs bounced back from back-to-back ducks in his first two T20 internationals in the past week by beating Pakistan’s previous record-fastest T20 century by 5 balls. The record was previously held by Babar Azam who reached the three-figure mark in 49 balls in 2021.

Earlier, Mark Chapman (94) was dismissed just short of a record-breaking century as the Black Caps posted 204 all out in 19.5.

New Zealand 204 all out in 19.5 overs (Mark Chapman 94 off 44; Haris Rauf 3-29 off 4) lost to Pakistan 207-1 in 16 overs (Hasan Nawaz 105no off 45) by nine wickets.
