Peter Handscomb notched his second Test century in just his fourth Test match, however his record innings was overshadowed by his bizarre hit wicket dismissal.
Handscomb’s 137 surpassed Bradman's world record batting average of 99.94 on the way to becoming the first Australian in 96 years to hit four half-centuries in his first four Tests.
After being 6-2 in reply, Azhar Ali (58 not out) and Younis Khan (64 not out) fought hard to take Pakistan to 126 for two at the close of play.
Pakistan 2 for 126 (Younis 64*, Azhar 58*) trail Australia 8 for 538 dec (Renshaw 184, Warner 113, Handscomb 110, Wahab 3-89) by 412 runs.
