Hafeez inspires Pak win after 12 year wait: 2nd ODI (MCG)

Stand-in skipper Hafeez smashed 72 as Pakistan beat Australia by six wickets to post their first win on Australian soil for 12 years.

This rare win by Pakistan levels the five-match series at 1-1. Earlier, Mohammad Amir with three wickets for 47 and Junaid Khan, playing his first ODI in over 19 months, restricted Australia to 220.

Pakistan 4 for 221 (Hafeez 72, Malik 42*) beat Australia 220 (Smith 60, Amir 3-47) by six wickets.
