India close in on win despite Rahim ton: 1st Test, Day 4 (Hyderabad)

India were 7 wickets away from victory as Bangladesh were 3-103 after being set a daunting victory target of 459.

Playing in his 45th Test, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed two wickets to become the fastest player in history to take 250 Test wickets.

Earlier, skipper Mushfiqur Rahim’s fifth Test century (127) and his second against India enabled the visitors to post 388 in their first innings.

Bangladesh 388 (Mushfiqur 127, Umesh 3-84) and 103 for 3 (Ashwin 2-34) need another 356 to beat India 687 for 6 decl. and India 159 for 4 decl. (Pujara 54*)
