Bairstow, Root power England win: 2nd ODI (Lords)

Jonny Bairstow smashed 72 not out in 44 ballas to set up England's 85-run win over Ireland and take the ODI series 2-0.

Eoin Morgan (76) and Joe Root (73) put on a third-wicket stand of 140, that took England to 328 for six.

In reply William Porterfield (92) shone but Ireland were bowled out for 243 in the 47th over. Joe Root took 3-51 in his 10 overs.

England 328 for 6 (Morgan 76, Root 73, Bairstow 72*) beat Ireland 243 (Porterfield 82, Plunkett 3-15, Root 3-52) by 85 runs.
