Freddie century in vain as Proteas triumph: 2nd Test (Lords)

Allrounder Freddie Flintoff struck 142 in the second innings to stretch England's lead but Greame Smith's 259 and Gary Kirsten's 108 put the tourists in a dominant position to dictate terms.

Earlier, Makaya Ntini took 5-75 to skittle England for 175 in the first innings. Ntini took another 5 wicket haul in the second innings to finish with a 10 wicket match bag.

South Africa won by an innings and 92 runs.
