Lyon, Warner bring Aussies back into contention: 1st Test, Day 3 (Mirpur)

Nathan Lyon took 6-82 and David Warner smashed 75 not out as Australia roared back into contention against Bangladesh.

Chasing a stiff 265 for victory, opener David Warner (75 not out) and captain Steve Smith (25 not out) tackled the tough conditions to make it through to stumps with Australia on 109-2.

Earlier, Tamim Iqbal stroked his second fifty but Lyon spun Australia back into the match as Bangladesh were bowled out for 221 shortly after tea.

Australia 217 and 109 for 2 (Warner 75*, Smith 25*) need another 156 runs to beat Bangladesh 260 and 221 (Tamim 78, Lyon 6-82).
