Pakistan fight as Karunaratne lifts SL: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Dubai)

Opener Dimuth Karunaratne hit a career best 196 to extend Sri Lanka's total to a dominant 482.

Resuming on 254-3, Karunaratne was supported by Chandimal, Dickwella and Dilruwan Perera who all hit fifties to swell Sri Lanka's total.

In reply, Pakistan fighting to avoid defeat posted 51-0 as Sami Aslam (30 not out) and Shan Masood (15 not out) negotiated the 18 overs.

Pakistan 51 for 0 (Aslam 30*, Masood 15*) trail Sri Lanka 482 (Karunaratne 196, Chandimal 62, Dilruwan 58, Yasir 6-184) by 431 runs .
