Dilruwan stars as SL whitewash Pakistan 2-0: 2nd Test, Day 5 (Dubai)

Off-spinner Dilruwan Perera finished with five wickets to help Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 68 runs and take the series with a historic 2-0 whitewash.

This is the first time that Pakistan has lost a series in their new home of UAE.

Only 21 runs were scored in 14 overs in the first hour of play as Asas Shafiq completed his century. Perera induced a top edge from Sarfraz (68) to finish with figures of 5-98 as Pakistan, chasing a tough 317 to win, were eventually bowled out for 248.

Sri Lanka 482 (Karunaratne 196, Yasir 6-184) and 96 (Wahab 4-41, Haris 3-1) beat Pakistan 262 (Azhar 59, Haris 56, Dilruwan 3-72, Herath 3-84) and 248 (Shafiq 112, Dilruwan 5-98) by 68 runs.
