Anderson hits back after England collapse: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Adelaide)

In a dramatic display of swing bowling, James Anderson and Chris Woakes took two wickets each under the lights to reduce Australia to 53-4.

Despite the late wickets, Australia lead by 268 after the tourists were bowled out for 227. Significantly, England got rid of danger men Warner and Smith.

A stand of 66 for 8th wicket between Chris Woakes (36) and debutant Craig Overton (41 not out) provided some respectability after Lyon and the pace trio ripped through England’s top order before lunch.

Australia 8 for 442 dec and 4 for 53 (Handscomb 3*, Lyon 2*) lead England 227 (Overton 41*, Lyon 4-60, Starc 3-49) by 268 runs.
