Smith dominates after England collapse: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Perth)

Johny Bairstow eased to a brilliant century but Steve Smith made an unbeaten 92 as Australia forced their way back into a dominant position after a spectacular collapse by England.

Australia closed 200 behind as Smith's controlled knock of 92 not out took the home side to 203-3 at stumps.

Earlier, Bairstow hit 119. After Dawid Malan fell for 140, they lost their last six wickets for 35 runs in 51 balls to be 403 all out.

Australia 3 for 203 (Smith 92*, S Marsh 7*) trail England 403 (Malan 140, Bairstow 119, Stoneman 56, Starc 4-91, Hazlewood 3-92) by 200 runs.
