Klaasen blasts Indian spinners to keep series alive: 4th ODI (Jburg)

Newcomer Heinrich Klaasen starred with the bat as South Africa beat India by 5 wickets in a rain curtailed match to remain alive in the six-match series which the visitors lead 3-1.

Klaasen smashed 43 not out off 27 balls, combined with David Miller (39), to lead the Proteas' assault on the Indian spinners after rain intervened twice to reduce the game to a 28-over contest. Andile Phehlukwayo smashed 23* off only 5 balls, including 1 four and 3 sixes, taking South Africa home with 15 balls to spare.

Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan raced to his 13th ODI ton (109) in his 100th ODI as India posted 289-7.

South Africa 207 for 5 (Klaasen 47*, Miller 39, Kuldeep 2-51) beat India 289 for 7 (Dhawan 109, Kohli 75, Ngidi 2-52) by five wickets (DLS method)
