Aussies on top despite fiery Morne burst: 1st Test, Day 3 (Durban)

A fiery Morne Morkel took 3 late wickets to have Australia on 213 for nine but the tourists led by 402 runs when bad light ended play early.

Kagiso Rabada (2-28) supported veteran Morne Morkel (3-42) as South Africa chipped away at the Australian batting after a bright opening stand of 56 between Bancroft (53) and Warner (28).

South Africa face an uphill battle to save the Test.

Australia 351 and 213 for 9 (Bancroft 53, Morkel 3-42, Maharaj 3-93) lead South Africa 162 by 402 runs.
