Not guilty: Court clears Ben Stokes of assault, ready to take on India

Allrounder Ben Stokes was found not guilty for his role in a street fight.

Stokes will now return to the squad for England's 3rd Test against India after missing the 2nd Test so he could attend court.

Stokes was on trial for knocking out two men in the southwest English city of Bristol last September. Stokes said he was acting in self-defence.

Stokes who was facing jail time if found guilty. thanked his wife, family, friends and teammates for their “unerring” support during “an 11-month ordeal”.
