Rahim century powers win over Sri Lanka: Asia Cup BAN v SRL (Dubai)

Mushfiqur Rahim smashed 144 as Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 137 runs in the opening match of Asia Cup.

Paceman Lasith Malinga (4-23) rattled Bangladesh early as they struggled at 3 for 2 runs. Rahim’s 6th ODI century lifted the Tigers to 261 all out.

Sri Lanka were never in the hunt and were eventually dismissed for 124 in the 36th over.

Bangladesh 261 (Mushfiqur 144, Mithun 63, Malinga 4-23) beat Sri Lanka 124 (Tharanga 27, Dilruwan 29, Mustafizur 2-20, Mehidy 2-21, Mashrafe 2-25) by 137 runs.
