Pant, Shaw shine as India dominate Windies: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Hyderabad)

India were rescued by a 146-run fifth wicket stand between Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant to reach 308/4 to dominate the West Indies.

Earlier, the West Indies could add only 16 runs in the morning session as Umesh Yadav polished off their tail with career-best figures of 6/88. Rolston Chase completed his century before being dsmissed for 106.

Teenager Prithvi Shaw lit up the morning, smashing his way to 70 before Rishabh Pant's audacious stroke-play got him to 85 not out by stumps.

India 308 for 4 (Pant 85*, Rahane 75*) trail West Indies 311 (Chase 106, Holder 52, Umesh 6-88, Kuldeep 3-85) by 3 runs.
