Buttler ton tips England in tense win: 2nd ODI (Southampton)

Jos Buttler's spectacular 50-ball century, the second-fastest by an England batsman in ODIs was the difference as England beat Pakistan by 12 runs.

Buttler smashed 110 not out and Jason Roy (87), Eoin Morgan (71 not out), Jonny Bairstow (51) and Joe Root (40) all made contributions as England posted 373-3.

Opener Fakhar Zaman thrashed 138 (106 balls) and Asif Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed kept the tourists in the hunt. They needed 19 in the last over. Chris Woakes kept it tight to leave Pakistan short.

England 373 for 3 (Buttler 110*, Roy 87, Morgan 71*, Bairstow 51) beat Pakistan 361 for 7 (Fakhar 138, Babar 51, Asif 51) by 12 runs.
