Morgan rains record sixes in Afghan demolition: 2019 WC #24 (Old Trafford)

Skipper Eoin Morgan smashed 17 sixes, a world record, as England completed a 150-run win over Afghanistan to top the table.

Morgan made 148 from 71 balls in a total of 397-6, a record for England in World Cup matches. England's total of 25 sixes also set a new record for any team in an ODI innings.

In reply, Afghanistan made 247-8 with Shahidi posting 76.

England 397 for 6 (Morgan 148, Bairstow 90, Naib 3-68) beat Afghanistan 247 for 8 (Shahidi 76, Archer 3-52) by 150 runs.
