Astonishing Stokes century snatches 1 wicket Ashes win: 3rd Test, Day 4 (Leeds)

All rounder Ben Stokes smashed 135 not out to deliver one of England’s greatest victories to keep the Ashes series alive.

In a record last innings chase of 359, the home side still needed 73 when Stokes was joined by last man Jack Leach to deliver a knock out blow to Australia who had the Test under control for most of an epic day in Ashes history.

Stokes finished with 11 fours and eight sixes in one of the greatest innings by an England batsman.

The teams are now tied 1-1 in the 5 Test series.

Australia 179 (Labuschagne 74, Archer 6-45) & 246 (Labuschagne 80) lost to England 67 (Hazlewood 5-30) & 362-9 (Stokes 135*, Root 77, Hazlewood 4-85) by one wicket.
