Rahim stars in shock win over India: 1st T20 (Delhi)

Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim led the way to secure a shock win over India in the opening T20 amidst a day of high pollution in Delhi.

This was a historic first win over India in T20s.

Rahim hit a sparkling 60 off 43 balls, which included four successive boundaries in the penultimate over that changed the course of the match. Overall, Bangladesh negotiated the pitch much better as they chased down a subpar Indian score.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Bangladesh restricted India to 148 for six in 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan top-scored for India with 41 runs, with the help of three boundaries and a six.

Bangladesh 154 for 3 (Mushfiqur 60*) beat India 148 for 6 (Dhawan 41, Aminul 2-22) by seven wickets.
